So I've been on vacation for the last week in Utah for a family reunion. Guess what? I couldn't help but talk my sisters into sewing with me. We do an auction to raise money for the expense of trying to get my 13 siblings together every year. I got a great idea from my friend and coworker, Cheri. She suggested that I make a little bag out of dice fabric and include dice and instructions to play Farkle, which is a family favorite. She was so helpful she even picked out my fabric. Here is a picture of the bag that I came up with. I think it turned out pretty well. My sister Caroline is very talented! She put together some tote bags, that of course I had to buy. They are purse sized, so of course, I'll have to find someone deserving to give them to. Here is a picture of my new totes. Aren't they cute!? She used a charm pack for the outside of each of the totes and a coordinating fabric for the handles and lining.For one of the meals at the reunion, my brother and I put the meal together. My brother made beef curry stew and I made jambalaya. My mother can't eat meat, so we decided to also make ratatouille. I'm including the recipe.
